Dance away the winter doldrums with our Winter Contra Dance. This fun evening is part of Alleghany Arts Council’s Taste of the Arts programs and events.
Dance begins at 7:00pm (beginner lessons at 6:30).
The band is: Old Time Cookin’ (Deb Shebish with Joane & Rick Davidson)
Old Time Cookin’ serves up driving string band dance music rooted in the NC and VA Appalachian Mountains and its foothills. Deb, Joanne, and Rick play string band music for regional traditional square and contra dances. You’ll hear and feel their passion in the music!
Light refreshments provided.
Location: Sparta United Methodist Church, 190 N. Main St, Sparta, NC
Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door, youth 12 and under are free with an adult.
