Taste of the Arts Presents From Hive To Home: Beeswax Candle Making
Part of our Heritage & Homestead Series
Discover one of the oldest traditional uses of beeswax in this hands-on workshop celebrating craft, tradition, and the fascinating world of honeybees. Participants will learn how beeswax is processed and prepared for candle making before creating their own candles using two different techniques.
During the workshop, you’ll make:
– Four hand-dipped beeswax candles
– One 4 oz. beeswax jar candle
And there’s more to this class than candle making!
A local beekeeper will join us to share an inside look at beekeeping and life in the hive—from how a colony works together to the important role honeybees play in our environment and the incredible products they create.
You’ll leave with five handmade candles, new skills, and a whole new appreciation for the work that happens inside a beehive.
Heritage & Homestead workshops celebrate traditional skills, handmade crafts, and practical knowledge worth carrying forward.
Space is limited. Register today and join us for this unique hands-on experience!
