Regional Grants Program

The Regional Artist Project of Northwest North Carolina Grants Program is a partnership between the arts councils of Alleghany, Ashe, Watauga, and Wilkes Counties and the North Carolina Arts Council. It is intended to provide project support to a broad range of visual, performing, literary, and inter-disciplinary artists that will have a significant impact on the advancement of their career.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

Being able to fund individual artist projects is a goal of our organizations and we look foreword to providing tangible, monetary support to several of you. Artists in all disciplines are eligible to apply; Regional Artist Project winners from 2018-2019 must wait one year to reapply for funding. Awards generally range from $250 to $1,000.

Several information sessions are planned to help artists with the application process. If you have any questions or would like to attend, we encourage you to contact your local arts council. Northwest North Carolina is blessed with many fine artists; we look forward to partnering with you in supporting your creative ventures.
